Over Cal's Spring Break, students gain exposure to different facets of a public service career: legislative paths, community organizations, local, state and federal government, and philanthropy. Participants learn from presenters about the opportunities available in these fields and network with presenters and amongst themselves to create a cohort on campusand beyondto support their career goals. Join this Public Service Center (PSC) event to meet students who do inspiring work in our communities! Hear from students mentoring youth in local schools, leading students on alternative break trips to explore social justice issues, and interning in government agencies. Founded in 1967 and formerly known as Cal Corps, the PSC partners students, community members, and faculty for programs and courses that support a more just and equitable world. Through the center, students, faculty, and communities work together to promote transformative social change and grow our next generation of civic leaders. The PSC supports nearly 200 student leaders annually in programs that support more than 5,000 students in partnership with 250 community-based organizations.
