Today, Superintendent Bowes announced a recommendation to restart all DJUSD schools on August 26, 2020, in a 100% Distance Learning Model, with students assigne...d to virtual classrooms at the school they regularly attend. This announcement comes on the same day that Governor Newsom released his 5-point Pandemic Plan for California Schools. At the Board of Education Meeting on July 23, DJUSD will present the Phased Return-to-Campus Plan with details on the restart of school including details about the phases of returning to in-person instruction, supports for equity and access, schedules and structures for instruction, social emotional learning supports, health and safety guidelines, and practices to support student engagement and assessment.
