#MOMENTSAGO #VehicleVsPole #NorthHighlands Auburn Blvd and Hemlock At 10:22 p.m. Sacramento County Sherriff's, Sacramento Metro Fire and CHP were dispatched to the intersection of Auburn Blvd and Hemlock in North Highlands for reports of a vehicle into a pole.... Upon arrival deputies found a single vehicle had hit a light pole and crashed into a parked vehicle on Auburn Blvd. According to radio reports the driver was initially trapped in the car but deputies were able to extricate the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. West bound Auburn is currently closed while CHP investigates the collision. A tow truck is on scene and working to clear the scene. No other information is available.

#EARLIER #VehicleAccident #RanchoCordova 4000 S Watt Ave Just before midnight, Sac Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident with reportedly one person trapped in a vehicle in Rancho Cordova.... Firefighters found two vehicles, both with major damage and one person unable to get out of their vehicle. Firefighters had to cut the person from the vehicle, and they were transported to a local hospital. One additional patient was located from the other vehicle, and a second medic unit was requested. The patient was also taken to the hospital. Both patients are expected to be okay, sustaining moderate injuries. CHP later determined a possible third vehicle was involved in the crash, but fled the scene prior to first responders arrival. It is unknown what kind of vehicle, and if they caused the collision or not. Northbound S Watt Ave was closed to traffic from Jackson Rd until both vehicles could be cleared from the scene and CHP concluded its investigation. #BREAKING #UPDATE #HOMICIDE #Shooting #NorthHighlands THE FOLLOWING IS A DIRECT REPOST FROM THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REGARDING THE HOMICIDE WE COVERED AT FOOD MAX IN NORTH HIGHLANDS ON OCTOBER 20, 2020: "Detectives of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office identified and arrested Enrique Medina Martinez and Hayden Michael Petersen for the October 20, 2020 murder of Eduardo Kennedy.... ************************************************************************** At 0959 a.m. on Tuesday October 20, 2020, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received several calls from citizens on the 7400 block of Watt Avenue in North Sacramento regarding shots being fired. Callers stated a vehicle in the parking lot was the subject of gun fire. Deputies arrived on scene and saw an adult male subject slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Fire arrived immediately after the discovery and pronounced the subject deceased. Homicide detectives are investigating and witness interviews are still being conducted. No suspect information is available. The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after identification and notification of next of kin. Per radio traffic officers found one victim on the floor with a male standing over the top of the victim holding a large knife. Officer's made entry and radioed that shots had been fired and the suspect was down. Sacramento Police used a K9 to clear the apartment and cleared Sacramento Fire to enter. According to radio traffic the stabbing victim was stabbed multiple times and was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The suspect who was shot had suffered a gun shot wound to the upper body and transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. There is a heavy police presence in the area and Park City Drive has been shut down. Crime Scene Investigators have arrived on scene. No other information is available at this time. At 4:07 p.m. Sacramento Fire responded to 3534 Summer Park Drive in South Natomas for a reported commercial structure fire. The first in fire truck reported heavy fire coming from a first floor residence and upgraded the call to a second alarm (2nd Alarm). Fire was able to get a quick knock down on the fire and have started ventilation and mop-up. There were no reported injuries and the cause is under investigation. Per radio traffic fire officials took a defensive stance on battling the well involved fire of a salvage yard. Battalion Chief Charles Jenkins talks about how Sacramento Metro Fire used two deck guns pumping a thousand gallons a minute each to gain a quick knock down of the fire and then started the fire attack with hose lays to put out hot spots on the fire. There were no injuries because of the fire. According to Chief Jenkins the cause seems suspicious and origin of the fire is under investigation.

#BREAKING #Shooting #OIS #CitrusHeights Twin Oaks Ave and Garry Oak Dr Just before 4:00 p.m., Citrus Heights PD was involved in a shooting with a suspect near the intersection of Twin Oaks Ave and Garry Oak Dr in Citrus Heights.... This incident occurred after officers were called to a home following a neighborhood disturbance. The suspect brandished a firearm at officers and shots were then fired. No one was injured in that shooting, but the suspect barricaded himself in that same residence. Garry Oak Dr is closed northbound from English Oak Way. Twin Oaks Ave is also blocked a couple blocks east of Garry Oak Dr. At this time officers have located the suspect and exchanged gunfire with him. The suspect is down according to CHP's spokesperson, but did not know the current condition of the suspect. There is no other information available at this time.

At approximately 3:00 a.m. Sacramento County Deputies responded to 34th Street and Freedom Park Drive for reports of a person standing in front of an apartment yelling they were bleeding out. The caller called back and reported the person was no longer on scene. Sheriff Deputies arrived on scene, which was in the 6000 block of 34th St. Sheriff's Deputies started searching the area, when other deputies located the victim, in a motor home, near the North McClellan Business Park on Freedom Park Drive about a block away from the original scene. Deputies rendered first aide until Sacramento Metro Fire arrived and transported the victim to a local trauma center. According to radio reports the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds to the body and also had several wounds to the head after being hit with rocks. No other information is available at this time.

Upon arrival firefighters found recreational vehicle (RV) fully engulfed in flames and a small grass fire had started. The RV's propane tanks were on fire and could be heard venting off pressure and several explosions could be heard as well. Firefighters worked quickly to get knock down on the vegetation fire as well as the RV fire. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
