Medal News Update - as stated in an earlier post, our 100 Mile Club panthers will be ordering their own medals this year. If you joined 100 Mile Club this year through the Miles To Go program AND you completed 100 miles, you may now order your medal by visiting https://100mileclub.com/to-go/. Keep in mind that you can order your medal and pick it up for free at the 100 Mile Club office in Norco (about a 15 minute drive from the school). If you need to have the medal shipped to you, there will be a shipping fee.

There is no parking in the lower lot. When dropping off your 100 Mile Club students, please remain in the drop off line and remain in your vehicle. No students should be dropped off before 7:45.
Promenade's 100 Mile Club opened today. Due to current health protocols in place, our club is a bit different this year. Our Coaches have always been parent volunteers but we are not permitted on campus at this time, so our 100 Mile Club Coordinator (a teacher) is stepping in so we may continue to run the club. Our Coach will be helping behind the scenes, from home. All members have been added to Class Dojo, under our Coordinator's name. This will be the only way to learn of closures due to rain, high winds, or poor air quality from nearby fires. We are NOT using remind this year. Questions can still be sent here or via email at [email protected]. Or, you can send questions through Class Dojo.

MEDAL NEWS - as our program was unable to meet in person this year and we had to use the 100 Miles To Go program, we will not be having a medal ceremony this year but we WILL still have medals. Members should be able to order medals on May 1st. As soon as we have more information and a link, we will post it here as well as share it with the school and our PTO. There is still time to get those miles so keep moving!
Registration for this year is still open. As always, parents, grandparents, siblings, and teachers are welcome to join. Virtual Academy students assigned to non-Promenade teachers are still Promenade students and are welcome to join. Remember to start tracking your miles as soon as you register. We'll let you know how to submit your miles as soon as our tracking system is set up. https://100mileclub.wufoo.com/forms/z1lx9gpj16uymzl/
There is a registration fee for 100 Mile Club. The fee covers the cost of the t-shirt and other incentives. If you are NOT taken to a payment page when you register, please call the national office at 951-340-2290 to make sure your registration was processed correctly. We do offer a handful of sponsors for families in need. If you need a sponsor please email Coach Sandi at [email protected]. I will register students who need sponsors. Please do NOT register your student if you need a sponsor.
I'm so excited to announce that Promenade Elementary will be continuing 100 Mile Club this year! I am working closely with the our new principal and assistant principal, Ms. Goodwin and Mrs. Bowden to get us going as soon as possible. We are working out the details but we hope to be ready to start registering families by September 7th. Registration will only be available online and shirts will be shipped directly to families. If you are interested or think you might be interested in signing up, start tracking those miles now and they will be added as soon as we are up and running. Feel free to comment with any questions you might have and please help spread the word.
We have less than a month before school starts again. We won't be able to walk at school or meet in groups at the park so I am very unsure of what the 2020 -21 school year will look like for our 100 Mile Club. I am planning to reach out to our new Principal in the coming weeks to see if we can find a way to have 100 Mile and use the honor system. The logistics come in to play with how to get our Promenade families the sign up forms and how to collect them so I can order shirts for everyone. If I can work something out with the school, that is great. If not, I will have to see how many families are interested in having 100 Mile Club this year and decide how to make it work for us. Please help spread the word! Thank you. Take Care and Be Well.
Sadly, we were unable to get a group picture of our 100 Mile Club members before the closure. Mrs. Bain is currently working on the yearbook, so if you have any photos of 100 Mile Club in action, please email them to [email protected]. You can also snap a photo of your student wearing their 100 Mile Club shirt and send that. We will be forwarding what photos we can gather to Mrs. Bain. Thank you and please, please, please help spread the word. Stay safe and be well.
Even though school is closed and 100 Mile Club community events are cancelled, 100 Mile club has a 26 day challenge. It is up to individual school programs to decide whether to accept the honor system challenge and give credit for the miles. We will be happy to give credit for this challenge. For more information visit https://100mileclub.com/programs/additional-programs/ and scroll towards the bottom of the page.
100 Mile Club is cancelled today due to the wind advisory. We'll do t-shirts tomorrow.
