Team PCS had a great day today at AIDS Walk LA! Jessica Donath, Chair of the Social Action Committee at Beth Chayim Chadashim (BCC) and a member of the BCC Contingent of Team PCS, walked in her first AIDS Walk! Thank you Jessica, the BCC Contingent and all who supported Team PCS! The deadline for donations is November 15th. If you’d like to help: https://secure.aidswalkla.org/TeamPCS
Please Join Us! Team PCS is participating in this year's AIDS Walk Los Angeles, a 10K fundraising walk to fight the epidemic. PCS is a beneficiary of funds we raise. 80% of the funds we raise supports PCS providing free, nutritious meals - food as medicine - to our clients. 20% of funds raised helps APLA Health stop new infections and support people living with HIV/AIDS, many of whom are PCS clients. We're walking on Sunday, October 20th. The fundraising deadline is November ...15th. Join Team PCS or help a team member reach their goal! https://secure.aidswalkla.org/TeamPCS Thank you for your support!!!
We can’t get our meals to clients without the help of our dedicated packing and delivery volunteers! Many of our delivery volunteers have been bringing meals to the same clients for several years. Our clients look forward to seeing the familiar faces of PCS delivery volunteers who help build an enduring and important sense of community. We are truly grateful to you!
We had a great cooking last week! Thanks to Ryan Rossow for recruiting a group of hard working volunteers from the South Bay Food Initiative! And as always, PCS was lucky to have our dedicated Team Leaders and regular, veteran volunteers helping us prepare delicious and nutritious meals - food as medicine - for our clients living with serious illnesses.
Food and Justice News Update from our friends at Hunger Action Los Angeles-HALA
Important news from our partners at HALA. 3,000,000 people are at risk of losing SNAP benefits (food stamps). There’s time to oppose this proposed cut, which could eliminate school lunch programs for children as well. To stop the cuts, please see details below.
