Progress House

PHI is looking for volunteers who have flooring experience. We have a couple flooring needs that we need help with. Anyone out there in the community with experience and some time could contact Dave at 530-626-9240 - Maintenance Dept. We are hoping that with a couple people the job can be done in 1 or 2 days. Sometimes it's the little things that just make a house a home, at least for a little bit. A few weeks ago we were notified that the our women's transitional home living room has a table but no dining room light, they'd been using a stand up light in the corner. So, I dug around and we found a wonderful individual who donated this light that our maintenance professionals put up for them. The women are over the moon and love the little touches we've been adding little by little. We like it too!

The picture on the cover of our FB page shows you the Coloma Men's Recovery Home. Recently the tree on the left side of the pic, began to rot, yes, you read it correctly - it's rotten. We wanted to be prepared for winter and sadly enough, the danger of it falling on the house was a much larger concern. So, with sadness, I inform you that it's been cut. The remaining trees have been trimmed and in the end the house looks great!

We've had a dangerous branch looming.... it has been cut now! Our woman's transitional living house had an issue, last year a branch fell on the roof, we finally got a contractor that can fix it. Now that that has been solved, we had another branch on the same roof but the other side of the roof. That branch has been removed! See the big difference it made.
