Personal Care Aide (PCA) is someone who is hired to assist the elderly, persons with a disability or convalescents with the day-to-day living activities in the individual’s own home as well as in a care facility for long-term care. Duties often involve tasks such as housekeeping (washing dishes, cleaning the home, doing laundry, making beds ), help prepare meals as well as provide personal care (bathing, dressing) for the individual.
