We have some exciting things planned for 2021. I am beyond excited to be able to use all of my ideas and put them into action! 2021 is going to be amazing...so stay tuned everyone Going Red For Women is important to me because I have many family members that have died from heart disease and in 2019 I was told I had a "Silent Heart Attack" Luckily I was able to have an angioplasty procedure. 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke each year. So we encourage you to ...join movement to end heart disease and stroke in women because it’s not just a man’s disease. Here’s what it means to Go Red: G: GET YOUR NUMBERS Ask your doctor to check your blood pressure and cholesterol. O: OWN YOUR LIFESTYLE Stop smoking, lose weight, exercise, and eat healthy. It’s up to you. No one can do it for you. R: REALIZE YOUR RISK We think it won’t happen to us, but heart disease kills one of three women. E: EDUCATE YOUR FAMILY Make healthy food choices for you and your family. Teach your kids the importance of staying active. D: DON’T BE SILENT Tell every woman you know that heart disease is our No. 1 killer.

Just a friendly reminder that we will be having our 2020 Costume Parade on Friday October 23, 2020 from 3-4:30pm

We had a special surprise yesterday!!! It was the Holiday Trunk or Treat Mobile...Filled with all kinds of goodies!! What a great way to put us all in the spirit and also to remind us to be thankful for all the hard work these essential workers do on a daily basis. Pictured: Renee Vaughn is the new Community Relations Director who joined our team in September, Becky Baker is the new Executive Director who has joined us approximately a month ago and of course our one and only, Christy Evans, Business Manager!

Meet Margaret! Margaret has been working in the senior industry for 20 years. Margaret began her career as a personal care attendant, then transitioned into Medication Technician, which she has been doing for Prestige for 8 years! Margaret has enjoyed building strong relationships with our residents, and getting to know their life stories. Margaret loves spending time with her grandchildren, and is expecting her 6th grand-baby in February! When it does come time to retire, Margaret hopes to do lots of traveling, especially to Italy!

Meet Sam! Sam has been a loyal Prestige employee for over 3 years. Sam began working with seniors over 12 years ago, when she realized her love for helping people. Sam works in our very special Expressions community, as a Medication Technician. Throughout the years, Sam has thoroughly enjoyed hearing all the residents life stories and building relationships with them. In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her Daughter, her dog and enjoying the outdoors hiking!

Thank you to everyone that came out today to help show our residents a good time! We had a blast with our Car Parade and really appreciate all of the support!

Meet Amethyst! Amethyst has been a loyal Prestige employee for 3 years, starting off in housekeeping and moving into Personal Care Attending. Amethyst realized her love for the elderly while helping clean residents apartments, and knew that she belonged performing hands on, quality care. Amethyst is a resident favorite at Prestige at Chico for her natural caring and warm attitude. The best part about working at Prestige, according to Amethyst, is the wonderful lifelong relationships she builds with the residents. In her free time, Amethyst enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors and drawing!
