FREE FOOD FOR FAMILIES! Join us on Wednesday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Castaic Lake State Recreation Area, (32132 Castaic Lake Drive, Castaic 91384). This drive-through giveaway provides family-sized boxes of free food to community members brought to you by the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the County of Los Angeles, and the office of L.A. County Supervisor Kathryn Barger. There are no eligibility requirements and the event is open to all. When you arrive in your car, please follow the posted signs to the pick-up area and wear a mask. Dear FirstPresNewhall Friends, Do you know someone who has graduated recently? Are you yourself a recent graduate? Please let us know by sending a graduation picture, the school graduated from and the degree earned to [email protected]. If you have graduated from a community college and are heading to finish your degree at another institution, please let us know that along with intended major. We want to recognize all of our graduates next Sunday, June 13 during the... worship service. This summer the USDA free meal program will be sponsored by School Day Cafe in our valley. ALL children ages 1-18 qualify for free meals (breakfast, snack snd lunch) regardless if they are registered students. Here are pickup times and locations for summer services. There are no income qualifications. All children are welcome.

NEW ONLINE GIVING PLATFORM JUNE 1st Our church's Online Giving has been in place since 2018 using the QGIV platform which has served us well. Now, through PCUSA we will be switching to the Presbyterian Foundation/Vanco platform on June 1, 2021 primarily to reduce administrative fees from 4% down to 2% of donations. Ignite Youth are thrilled to announce their November Community Outreach collection, THANKFUL BOXES, which will benefit our local non-profit food bank, SCV Food Pantry. Starting November 1st, we are asking Ignite Youth families to add one, non-perishable food item per day from the list to a box. After the month concludes, there should be 30 non-perishable items in their boxes. The Youth Committee has extended the invitation to anyone called to serve those in our communit...y and posed an Overwhelm Us With Your Generosity challenge. Let’s show a servant’s love for those in need. Here are the details: Add 1 item from the list / per day to a box (no restriction on size of box) Completed boxes may be dropped off at the church office (during office hours) anytime between now and Monday, December 7th. On Saturday, October 10th from 10:00am -12noon, the Mission Committee will be holding a drive-by food drive. In the spirit of Matthew 25, when they were hungry you fed them, we will be collecting food donations. All of the collection will be donated to Santa Clarita Grocery. This is an excellent operation that gives a weekly portion of groceries to feed a family of 4. Their baseline need is for around 100 families. Currently, their need is 10x that. Let’s try to make a di...fference for our neighbors in need. The collection will be at the church parking lot, you can just drive up and a volunteer will be there to take your donation. You won’t even have to leave your car. Right now our call is for non-perishable foods or personal grooming items, you can also donate cash at their website (santaclaritagrocery.org) If you wish to volunteer just show up at the church parking lot at 9:30 AM with gloves and mask.
