The American Physician Scientists Association (APSA) would like to extend an invitation to apply for the Virtual Summer Research Program (VSRP). The goal of VSRP is to address the gap of underrepresented groups in the physician-scientist profession by providing mentorship, community, resources, and research opportunities. Students in VSRP will: complete an 8 week-long research project engage with physician-scientist leaders through a weekly mentorship speaker series connect with members of biomedical student organizations attend journal club meetings present at regional APSA conferences at the conclusion of the program form mentorship relationships and a network of supportive like-minded undergraduates Mentee applications are open now at www.physicianscientists.org/page/VSRP-2021, and the deadline is May 1st, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST.
