I get prospective clients who come in who want to lose body fat but when they find out that it requires time and commitment they drop out. Here is an article about the results of this attitude: https://www.marketwatch.com//the-us-is-the-most-obese-nati

I recently ran into someone who bought a workout plan off the net. He told me it started out ok but now ot was stalling out. Discussing his experience and what his goals are, I showed him several reasons why thowing money at internet sellers of plans is not only a sham, but may set you back at best and cause injuries at worst. This is why you get a trainer. This is what was we talked about: 1. He learned to lift from videos. Learning to lift is a lot like dancing... to do ...it right you have to move right. His guy was squatting on his toes and deadlifting flat backed. He had no idea that he was doing this. An experienced trainer would be able to correct these issues before he could seriously injure himself. 2. The internet training program did not take into account any health issues or injuries. An experienced trainer would take these problems into account and use his experience and creativity to work around any problems. 3. The internet training program did not allow for age or previous experience. Although this guy was 29 and in good condition it did not have any difference in training people of various age groups or any training or sports he did before. 4. Lastly, the internet training program did not take into account different body types, height or metabolism. Does a large beefy guy train the same as a smaller skinny guy? No! All this purchased plan said was do this and this then and this 10 times and lose weight. That is nonsense. Every person is an individual and will respond differently to exercise. I have had two clients who had very bad experiences with TRX. Buying things without an experienced trainer working with you 90% of the time ends up in failure... but all you hear about is from the 10%. Don't throw money down the toilet. You wouldn't learn to dance from YouTube, would you? How would you know if you are doing it right learning alone? Weight training us the same way. I have been lifting for 34 years. That is more years experience than many of these people who call themselves "trainers", especially the ones looking for an easy buck on the internet have been alive! Do it right, both for your health and welfare. Contact me for a complimentary assessment and session and check out what good training is all about. [email protected]. Jordan pulls 225 for the first time. This is maybe the fifth time he has pulled. Being a tall guy, his rear is a little high but his form is improving every time. Next stop 315.

Regular exercise slows down brain aging and can hold off dementia caused by aging. In this article in Neurology a study was done to see if there is a relationship between brain health and exercise. There is. http://n.neurology.org//ea/2016/03/23/WNL.0000000000002582
