Porter Scott is pleased to announce that William Camy has been elected the firm’s newest shareholder. Will began his career at Porter Scott as a law clerk. After graduating from McGeorge School of Law, he joined the firm as a litigation associate. Over the years, Will has represented public and private entities in a wide variety of matters. Will’s practice now focuses on public entities in cases involving personal injury, police practices/civil rights, and employment issues. ...Will has a breadth of litigation experience, handling all phases of litigation up to and including bench and jury trials. Will spends his spare time with his wife, Ashley, who is also a local attorney, and their two sons, Jack (4) and Spencer (2). Will also enjoys playing golf, working out (CrossFit), coaching his son’s sports teams, and officiating collegiate football and basketball. Congratulations Will!

Porter Scott is very sad to tell you all that Nancy Sheehan, our partner and friend, one of Sacramento’s well-respected lawyers, passed away on Saturday morning, November 23, 2019 after a long, valiant battle with cancer. Nancy’s work in the community and her relationships with her clients leave a lasting mark. Nancy’s call for excellence will be her enduring legacy at Porter Scott where she practiced law for 34 years. On behalf of the firm and the extended Porter Scott community, we send our thoughts and love to Nancy’s family and to her husband, Rich Simpson.

On March 9th we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Avenues Project Dedication. Brandon Gnekow represented Porter Scott in giving one of the ceremony gifts. Last spring Porter Scott staff and attorneys participated in multiple Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento build days. This event was the culmination of those efforts as we gave the house key to this phenomenal family.
