Well.. Put the engine in the frame.. Will be changing out some of the mounting hardware.. Looking forward to it's completion
Last part received today needed for engine build.. No longer available from Suzuki.. But got it from a source I've used before. Thank you. 'I love Japan Motors' from the Country of Cyprus located off of Greece's coast line-ish
Well aftering being down and out for 2 weeks plus with a back back.. Detailed existing parts.. Bought a huge amount of factory parts like nuts, washers,bolts,grommets,etc.. Started re-assembling bike.. Engine still waiting on camchain guide before it goes back into the frame.. Unfortunately my back has not allowed me to do much of anything without pain..
Checked true TDC with dial indicator .. Factory Timing mark is dead nut on.. Installed cylinder head.. Using all new gaskets, seals and hardware... Torqued to specs. Now to install the camshafts and dial them in...
Picked up the cylinder head from Engine Dynamics.. ( Machine Shop )... It's a bit surreal ... I started thinking I would never finish the port and bowl work.. Head complete with Schumann S.S. valves.. Intake valves are 1.0mm O.S... Kibblewhite valve train components.. Megacycle cams... Etc.. Fitted with new Factory intake manifolds o-rings and hardware.. Took my time tape and masking it .. Painted it with Dupli Color #1934 Lo Gloss Black Ceramic Engine Paint.. More pictures to come

It's a great day for the GS Project... Love these carbs... Waiting for the cylinder head work to be finished at the machine shop.. My port work is complete, all the desired components I acquired throughout the last year and a half will finally have a home.. I have been blessed with people I have come to know since starting this build.. Alan Dodds.. Rick Smith.. Nick at. SPS... Antonio Reis.. Just to name a few
