For the month of September, friend and founder of Semolina, Leah Greenstein Ferrazzani, has put together an incredible $25k dollar-for-dollar match to benefit The L.A. Kitchen. I’ve donated to the campaign and I’ll be volunteering in the LA Kitchen. Please please join me in one or both. If you don’t know about LA Kitchen they take healthy, local food from area farms and distributors that would otherwise be wasted and make healthy meals for L.A.’s elderly, kids in after school programs and others. In the making of meals they also provide culinary training to formerly incarcerated older adults and emancipated foster youth. It’s great.
