Bug Infestation hits Palm Springs Again! The bugs are back and we’re not sure yet if they are same ones we have experienced in the past. Our management team is reporting that upon entering the water they live and swim. It is our opinion that chemical treatments will not aid or kill the bugs (as they are dying anyway). What is working is the elimination of light source. ... TURN OFF ALL OUTDOOR LIGHTS! We can provide additional cleaning services for $35 - $70 per body of water (residential pools) based on pool size & volume . Please let us know if such services are requested and we will be there. The bugs are evidently harmless to swimmers although a significant nuisance. If you don't need to use your pool you can simply wait them out. Last year the infestation lasted between 3 and 5 weeks.
