Their Fried Chicken Sandwich is on par with some other Oakland staples. Of course you'll need to eat it as soon as it comes out of the kitchen. But most importantly, they have a FANTASTIC beer selection, and if you ask nicely they will sell you St. George Spirits (Alameda) Japanese-inspired whisky. Our outdoor service has gone so smoothly that we have decided to extend our scheduling window to 30 days. Get em while they’re hot! Pony is now taking appointments through the end of September at both (outdoor) locations! We can’t wait for you to see our new salon! Er at least its super cute back patio. Clients be sure to check for your stylist’s availability at each salon on our booking site since many have elected to work at both locations :)... Our hearts go out to those who cannot work outdoors including SF salons in giant office buildings and of course our AMAZING COLORISTS @loridylancolorist and Lucky who is too cool for IG.

You can book directly with Georgia as we get outdoor services ramped up. Over Fifteen years of Cutting and Styling Experience and thirty years in the beauty industry. Georgia is Global Educator for R+Co, teaching Razor Cutting and Styling. ... This affords her a broad knowledge of products and techniques needed to create any look. Georgia was taught Razor Cutting by Corrina Hernandez and Howard Mclaren Razor cutting and precision bobs are her specialty. Georgia is fortunate to have Garren the Glamor King guiding her with Styling for Editorial High Fashion. And looks forward to her bi coastal experience. Traveling for Fashion Week all over the world and teaching the techniques and culture passed on to her by her mentors is her passion for life.

Pony friends and family please welcome to the team: @hairbyalicat Ali Schoenberger!!!! Ali is a Bay Area native with a passion for doing hair and connecting with her clients. As a child she often butchered her friend’s and family hair (with consent!) until she finally entered Cosmetology school at the age of 16. Fourteen years later, Ali is more in love with her craft than ever. She enjoys being creative, making clients comfortable and having meaningful conversations. With ...a wide range of skills there’s not much she can’t do from beautiful blondes to unconventional hair colors, blunt bobs or a soft and lived-in razored haircut, she can give you the look that makes you feel like your true self. When not doing hair, she spends her time going on road trips, camping, enjoying national parks, viewing/making art, appreciating animals (all animals, but mostly cats), eating vegan food, gardening and listening to music.

We are back! After a totally zen six-month yoga retreat in Antarctica we are going to reopen for outdoor cuts on 8/28. Did we miss anything good? Booking details for both salons will be communicated via email, IG, FB, smoke signal, etc. in the next couple of days!... Cancelled appointments from earlier in the year when we were young will get first stab, followed by everyone else. We are booking one week at a time due to the craziness.

Looks like the moving target is now June. We will be ready for you! Stay safe out there while we work on taking measures to ensure the safety of all Pony people. Pony Studios April Newsletter Hi Pony Customers, We hope that you are all staying safe and sane in all of the craziness. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon.... Here are some updates about: -Process to (re)book -Estimated re-opening timeline + details -How to book a video consultation + DIY bangs / framers / ends cut with your stylist -Buy products or quarantine color kits for curbside pickup You may notice your appointments are being cancelled up through the May 3rd shelter-in-place ordinance. To rebook simply go to pony.salon (http://www.pony.salon) and look into May. When we have a more definitive guidance then we will likely open the salon up 7 days per week. So as soon as Gavin hollers at us you might see some additional availability. When we do re-open, it will be during a time where Covid-19 has not been eradicated. We will therefore be insisting on abiding by some TBD safety guidelines. Here are just a few: -We will be moving our stations to add space between each of them. -We will figure out a way to maximize the use for each shampoo bowl while making sure there is space between each client and sanitization between each use. We will likely suggest that cutting clients come to the salon with pre-washed hair. -Staff will wear gloves and masks. -You get the picture. This will be an evolving narrative and we thank you for your support. We are offering video appointments with your stylist! You can contact them directly via text to book yours! Each can offer a different platform based on their own technical expertise :) -- so it could be Zoom or it could be FaceTime. Appointments are 15 minutes for $25, payable via Venmo upon booking.
