As many of you know, due to Covid-19 we’ve been forced to close our doors for the entire Summer Camp 2020 season. God has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of students here at Camp Pondo throughout the years. When we think of those students our hearts are drawn quickly to a student name Dalton who came to camp and we want to take a minute to tell his story. ..................... We’ve been here since 1982 and we want to be here many more years into the future creating a unique place for people to encounter Jesus. We’re here to humbly and boldly ask for your help. Due to having to close our doors this Summer we are projecting a budget deficit of around $480,000. Thanks to SO many of you and your generosity we have already raised close to $15,000 which is absolutely incredible, but we know God’s not done! We ask that you would prayerfully consider partnering alongside us in providing for, not just the future of Camp Pondo, but most importantly, you partnering with us in the advancement of the Gospel. https://www.pondo.org/give/

We grieve alongside our brothers and sisters right now. What happened to George Floyd was wrong and we are praying for justice. We are praying for all affected by this catastrophic event. There’s a lot of wrong happening in our world right now. So much hate. Remember that we do not serve a God of partiality and we are one with Him and each other. We are the church. We are the body. For just as the body is one and has many parts, all the parts of that body, though many, are ...one body - so also is ChristThe eye cannot say to the hand, ‘I don’t need you!’ Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, ‘I don’t need you!’ God has put the body together so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 Remember we are called to love, and love takes action. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:35 And how do we love? Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant, is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. It bears ALL things, believes all tings, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 We are called to Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice. Proverbs 31:8-9 We pray for justice for George Floyd and healing for our land. We pray for restoration of the body of Christ. We pray for unity. We need each other now more than ever. Let’s remember who the real enemy is. The thief (Satan) comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance. John 10:10 Let’s be sensitive during this time. Let us grieve with our brothers and sisters. Let us be quick to listen and slow to speak (James 1:19). Let us remember that With the tongue we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in God’s likeness My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. James 3:17 Father forgive us. Father open our eyes. Father heal our land.
