How about a quick history lesson on Turo Turo cuisine by Alex Orquiza, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Wellesley College? As a Fulbright Program scholar, Alex spent two years in the Philippines researching the transfer of foods and cuisines between the United States and the Philippines.

We can't believe that this labor of love - the @EasternAddition - is coming to an end. We've visited Japan (with Tak Matsuba) and Burma (with Dennis Lin of Burmese Kitchen) and will be completing our culinary tour with a cuisine and place that's close to our hearts - the Philippines. Join us for our final month of Eastern Addition, as we feature our two dear friends and Poleng Lounge alums, Tim Luym and Dominic Ainza.
