We love the mermaid stretch here @pointpilatessandiego This exercise is great for improving your overall flexibility by working to stretch your obliques, shoulders, and inner thighs. It opens your side body, lengthening the muscles between the ribs and pelvis. This can aid in being able to fully expand your chest in breathing. It prepares you for moves that call for twisting and bending and keeps your low back supple too!

To Our Point Pilates Family, While taking some time to digest the most recent closure and how we can adapt and serve you, we have decided that we would like to offer FREE outdoor mat classes so that we can continue to train together. Mat classes are the crown jewel of pilates and foundational to all other exercises involving equipmentand they’re so much FUN! It’ll be a great way to continue on with your training and build on your strength and flexibility so you’ll be ready t...o take on reformer classes when the time comes! To start, the 50 minute classes will be held at the park next to the Point Loma Fire Station at 1055 Catalina Blvd at 8:30 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and at 5:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on July 21. Bring a hat, sunscreen, water, and a yoga/exercise mat and, naturally, those radiant smiles! No need to sign up, just show up! Also, it’s a great opportunity to bring a friend or spouse! To Our Dear Point Pilates Clients, Per the Governor’s orders, Point Pilates will be closed until further notice in order to once again curtail the spread of Covid-19. We will pause any memberships immediately and any classes purchased will, needless to say, remain valid. Our fingers are crossed that this will be a short closure and that we may resume the wonderful work that you all have been putting in. In the meantime, do your best to get your exercise, stay strong and healt...hy, and keep spreading the LOVE. This past month has us overwhelmed with gratitude from your support and brimming with pride at your commitment and progress in such a short period of time. Summer is Here! I Love taking the pups swimming at Kellogg beach right by @pointpilatessandiego. Classes are booked out for Saturday- yay! It’s Teaser time! please take a peek at the covid- 19 guidelines below: 1. Please wear a mask into the studio ( you can remove it once you are on your reformer) and wear the mask as you leave class. 2. Please only come to class if you are feeling healthy I will be taking everyone’s temperature prior to the start of class. 3. Please sa...nitize hands prior to the start of class (we will provide hand sanitizer) 4. Toe Sox are mandatory... if you don’t have any, please wear socks. We’ll have toe Sox for sale at the studio in about one week. 5. We will be cleaning all equipment before and after class with medical grade alcohol to disinfect any evidence that you ever took class 6. Please bring your own water bottle 7.
