To all those looking to order the Paxton book. We are having a few glitches between our new server and our museum store, but will happily take your phone call at (530) 283-6320 or you can email [email protected] and we can take care of you. The book is $20 and we have a couple of options for shipping (our usual priority mail is $8.50).

Thanks to a generous donation from John Auer of Paxton Lodge, we now have copies of the new book, Paxton, for sale at the Museum. Fascinating story about a place we all wonder about! Written by Plumas County Museum Director Scott Lawson, it chronicles the history of the area from gold rush days to the present. It contains numerous illustrations and photos, many from former Paxton residents. Available at the museum or through our website www.plumasmuseum.org.
