Starry Mountain Nights 2020 would have been our eleventh event, but as you know we had to make the difficult decision to cancel in light of public health measures designed to slow COVID-19 spread. Today, would have been our big day! Instead we look forward to August 2021, and want to express our sincere thanks to the individuals and businesses who have supported Starry Mountain Nights over these last 10 years. Thank you for supporting us as we work alongside our Hospital to provide quality healthcare to our community.

For the past 10 years Plumas Health Care Foundation has hosted the summer social event Starry Mountain Nights. This year, as you might have expected, and in light of public health measures designed to slow the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Starry Mountain Nights. Furthermore, as the supporter of our local health care facility we are in alignment with state guidelines discouraging large gatherings. Plumas Health Care Foundation’s m...ission is to enhance the financial resources required to sustain quality health care for the communities in American Valley and Indian Valley. Starry Mountain Nights has been our major annual fundraiser for a decade, enabling us to support Plumas District Hospital (PDH) with many major purchases. In 2020, we plan to help fund a new DEXA scanner, a diagnostic imaging machine used to measure bone density. The DEXA scanner is approximately $59,000. Proceeds from Starry Mountain Nights would have gone a long way in reaching that goal. We can still do it, but we need your help. Please help us to purchase a new DEXA scanner.
