Today marks the beginning of #PrideMonth. To demonstrate our commitment to supporting the visibility, dignity, and equality for ALL people in our community, the City of Tracy is proud to announce that we are flying the #LGBTPrideFlag for the entire month of June! We recognize that some of the most inspiring moments in our history have arisen from the civil rights movements that have sought to bring marginalized communities to the forefront of American consciousness, and Pride... Month is no exception. It is because of Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman, and her initiation of the Stonewall Riots on June 28, 1969 in New York City that we celebrate Pride Month today. Our nation was founded on the principle of equality for all, but the fulfillment of this promise has been a long time coming for many Americans. Know that we see you, we hear you and we stand by you, because we are ALL stronger together. #CityOfTracy #TracyCA #ThinkInsideTheTriangle #PrideMonth #LGBTFlag #LGBTQCommunity #PrideInsideTheTriangle #TracyTogether #StrongerTogether #LGBTVisibility #HappyPrideMonth
