Mosquitoes drink blood for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Don't be their main course! Use an EPA-registered repellent and say goodbye to mosquito bites. Beware of the bite this spooky season.
That's a lot of blood. Beware of the bite!
Ghostbuster ... I mean ... mythbuster! Can bats help control mosquitoes? The answer is not really. Bats eat mosquitoes but they also eat all sorts of other things. What can you do? Remove standing water and wear an EPA-registered repellent. #BewareoftheBite this Halloween.
Vampires and mosquitoes and ticks, oh my! #BewareoftheBite this Halloween. Keep mosquitoes, ticks and vampires far, far away. Use garlic to keep vampires away and use an EPA-registered repellent for mosquitoes and ticks. Call us if your mosquito problems start to get spooky.
They're creepy and they're kooky. Mysterious and spooky. They're altogether ooky. They're mosquitoes! The deadliest animal is the world. BEWARE of the BITE this HALLOWEEN. Use an EPA-registered repellent.

Since 2001, our staff has worked hard to protect public health in Placer County. But, that's not where our story begins. Read more about the history of mosquito control in Placer County dating back to 1909. https://www.placermosquito.org/unlisted-news/history/
This season, CDPH received over 5,000 dead bird reports to the CA West Nile Virus and Dead Bird Call Center or website. Over 1,300 dead birds have been tested f...or #WNV. Starting this Friday, October 16th, the Call Center will transition to internet-only reporting via www.westnile.ca.gov. Although #WestNileVirus activity decreases in the fall and winter, your dead bird reports are appreciated all year round. Thank you for helping CDPH track WNV in California! See more
It's October and although nighttime temperatures continue to drop, we are still seeing mosquitoes! Don't forget to wear an EPA-registered repellent when outside!
