Pizza e Vino

Pizza e Vino owner Steve Dickus opened his restaurant on Lake Rancho Santa Margarita in 2008 to celebrate his love of Neapolitan pizza and fine Italian food. He began in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher at age 14, working up to server and eventually manager before starting his own health care company in his mid 20s. He returned to restaurants 20 years later to open Pizza e Vino after he discovered the allure of wood-burning ovens, San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozza...rella. The restaurant was certified in 2010 as the first true Neapolitan pizzeria in Orange County by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, and in 2011 Pizza e Vino was voted Best Pizza in Orange County by Orange Coast Magazine. "It's so neat to watch somebody eat something you created, and they're telling you that it's amazing," Steve says. "Rancho Santa Margarita, it's a small community, but one that values quality and consistency. That's what inspires us."
