"Critical race theory is a Trojan horse of sorts," said David Pivtorak, a Los Angeles lawyer representing two white men who are suing two California state environment agencies. "It disguises itself as the gold standard of fairness and justice but, in fact, relies on vilification and the idea of permanent oppressor and oppressed races. David Pivtorak is quoted in this story regarding the Biden Administration's decision to resume racial scapegoating training in federal agencies. The executive order, issued today, also instructs the Attorney General to investigate whether Critical Race Theory seminars violate the Civil Rights Act and create a hostile work environment for employees.

Goodyear is playing with fire here. In California, these obviously discriminatory policies could make them liable for significant damages to aggrieved employees.

I have an ever-increasing file of white male Microsoft employees who have faced outright and overt discrimination because they had the misfortune of being born both white and male. This is unacceptable, the program manager wrote in a comment later."

Universities engaging in invidious race discrimination are not above the law. Any student denied admission because of their race has a private right of action against the offending school.

These types of loyalty oaths are unconstitutional and, in California, would violate several state laws. If your school or employer tries to make you participate, call us for a free consultation.

In California, if your employer fires you or takes retaliatory action against you for your political beliefs they are likely breaking the law.

Any employer subjecting its employees to these teachings and ideologies may be engaging in invidious race discrimination. I have studied these theories for several years and have the knowledge required to take on these discriminatory practices in court. No employee should feel victimized by overt racism and I'm happy to speak with anyone who has been exposed to it at work.

A little over 10 years ago I started my law firm, a small business similar to the hundreds I've witnessed being burned and looted over the past few nights in LA, NYC, and around the country. I started it with nothing. But slowly over the years, and too close to more than one financial precipice, I was able to build and hire employees who depend on this business to buy food and pay rent. My primary guiding principle from the beginning was to represent decent, hardworking Ameri...cans who one day, while just going about their lives, had them unexpectedly shattered - physically or financially - by the careless, and sometimes intentional, acts of another. I couldn't always put them back the way I found them but I could at least correct the wrongdoing in our imperfect, human way. This is how I believe a civilized society can make a go of it. Watching the destruction unfold over the last few days I was initially enraged at the feckless and cowardly response of the politicians that allowed it to happen. Then, a well of sadness for the victims whose only crime was trying to support themselves and their families. Many of them will never recover. And the real criminals responsible for all this carnage will not only get away with it but will be celebrated as civil rights heroes by the mainstream press. If you want to know what systemic injustice looks like, this is it. It is the complete abdication of the liberal values on which our society is built in favor of mob rule. This is what makes me sick to my stomach on the deepest moral, philosophical, and intellectual level. Our Declaration of Independence guarantees Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, which can't be unjustly taken from you by the government or your fellow citizens. And this is what I'll be fighting to uphold as long as I have a bar card.

At a time when gratitude seems impossible even the smallest acts carry great weight. Every day I'm grateful for my amazing clients and my staff who have been so essential in keeping me going.
