After careful consideration and in light of the recent closure of indoor dining, Piperade will be temporarily shutting down starting tomorrow, Sunday, November 15th. We have made the difficult decision to take some time to reassess the situation, and hope to be able to reopen at a later date. The health and safety of our staff and guests is our highest priority, and we feel this is the best path to take until the coldest winter weather passes. Piperade lost a longtime employee, pastry cook, and good friend on Saturday, August 10th. Javier Garduno was suddenly killed in a tragic car accident that involved his entire family. Javier was an extremely hard worker, amazing father and husband, and was well-loved by our regulars and staff alike. He was the most loyal employee, working for Chef Gerald for over 20 years. Piperade will not be the same without him. He will be incredibly missed. Javier left behind his wife, Olg...a, and three children, Alex, Uilliam, and Kassy. We cannot fathom what they are going through at this time, but we are ready to help in any way that we can. If anyone would like to donate to his family, for funeral expenses, medical bills, and beyond, we would be most grateful.
