Don't get caught offside on COVID. For the Big Game this Sunday, avoid in-person parties to minimize community spread of the virus. Gathering virtually or with the people you live with is the safest way to cheer on your team this year. If you do have a small gathering with people who don't live with you, move the party outdoors, wear masks and maintain social distancing guidelines. Do your part to hold the line on COVID.

It’s Wellness Wednesday! Today’s quote is Create healthy habits, not restrictions. Eating healthy doesn’t mean cutting out things you love. Having the occasional sweet treat doesn't mean you failed for the day. Enjoy the treat and continue eating healthfully for the remainder of the day.

Traditional Halloween activities are fun, but some can increase the risk of getting or spreading COVID-19 or influenza. The CDC recommends the following: Make trick-or-treating safer: Avoid direct contact with trick-or-treaters. Give out treats outdoors, if possible.... Set up a station with individually bagged treats for kids to take. Wash hands before handling treats. Wear a mask. A costume mask is not a substitute for a cloth mask. For a list of alternate ways on how to stay safe this spooky season, visit the CDC website here: https://bit.ly/2InITbm
About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. The good news is that most women survive breast cancer when it's found and treated early. Starting at age 40, all women should speak to their doctor about getting a mammogram regularly. Women of any age with a close family member who has had breast or ovarian cancer should talk to their doctor about their breast cancer risk and determine when to get their mammograms. Women ages 50 to 75 should have a mammogram every 2 years. Call your doctor’s office to book an appointment today!
