The Holidays are here! While we feast and enjoy our socially distanced gatherings with our families this year, it may be hard to deny our best friends that same holiday cheer. However some serious health issues can arise for our pets during the holidays. To keep them safe try to avoid feeding your pets "people" food, high fat foods can trigger pancreatitis. Lock your trash up tight after Thanksgiving dinner, your animals may see that garbage as a special dinner just for them! Any ingested bones or garbage can cause a major stomach ache or a blockage that can become an emergency. Be safe, be mindful, and most of all have fun! Happy Holidays from the Pine Creek staff!

Winter is approaching quickly! As we reach the colder months of the year please keep your animals safety in mind. Remember, if it’s too cold for you, it’s probably too cold for your pet, so keep your animals inside. Check the wheel wells and under the hood of your vehicle for cats that may be there taking refuge from the cold. Know your pet's limits and keep watch for signs of frostbite after being outside. Clean paws and underbellies thoroughly after walks, chemicals such as antifreeze and road salt are more readily picked up by your pets in the winter. Be safe out there and stay warm!
