Well I suppose it's time we introduced ourselves! We're Kimi and Travis, your new hosts at Piety Hill Cottages. After many years of dreaming about owning and running my own small hotel and looking for the perfect property, I am so thrilled to call this little Nevada City gem my own. Two years ago I met this wonderful human and lucky for me, Travis was willing to come on this crazy little journey with me. With a long career in luxury hospitality behind him, Travis is going to be acting as our General Manager. You'll see us around the property with Moose, our resident pup, in tow. We're honored to be the next generation to look after this special hideaway, and we can't wait to host you!

After a little more sleuthing with the help of Nevada County Historical Society and the Searls Library, we've discovered that Feils was not the original name of the property at all. Here's the hotel in its original form, "Rude's Auto Court," owned by Julius Rude who constructed most of the buildings in the early 1930's. After Julius sold the property, it passed through several generations of owners and many names including "Cain's Auto Court," "Ball's Auto Court," and of course "Feils Motel" before Richard Worth renamed it "Piety Hill Inn" in 1978. From what I can tell, I am the 9th owner to operate this little hideaway. Notice the sign on the left reading "Strictly Modern"
