B E E N A W H I L E . . . After a two year hiatus, I am finally back and more inspired than ever to take my passion to a whole new level. I will be documenting this journey here on ig so please stay tuned for updates. But first, let me share this photo of me holding what turned out to be my very last arrangement for 2018. A week after this photo was taken we found out i was carrying our third child, hence that little bump on the photo. I’ve always had difficult pregnancies... and this one was no different. Gave birth a month earlier than expected due date but babe came out healthy and strong. I’ve been busy with this little human ever since and on top of that a hormonal teenager and pre teener to make motherhood even more challenging. No complaints here. I am very thankful and blessed to have them as my kids and I am very excited to share with them this journey i am about to embark on. I also got an overwhelming amount of support and pampering from my hubby, family, and close friends. Thankful to the Almighty for all these blessings. #foamfreefriday thankful to @nofloralfoam and all those florists for sharing and posting foam free alternatives in floral design. I have only used floral foam twice(never really got the hang of it so i stopped using it) which was before i started floristry and before i found out the negative impact it has on the environment. This post is not to diss other florists/designers who use foam most of the time. No. This is simply to inform others of the harm it does, not just to the... person handling it but also to where it ends up after use. A little google search, a visit to youtube university, or a quick chat with another florist can give you other #foamfree alternatives and other helpful tips in prepping, packaging, and shipping. The amount of trash,plastic,and floral foams in this industry is ridiculously inconceivable. Imagine putting a tracker on each trash and being able to see the journey and final destination of each little piece!
