These were taken at either the Colusa or Sacramento Wildlife Refuge recently.

I had never been to Eureka CA before, so I made the drive in Dec. Not a lot to do when it's cold and rainy but hit a brewery or two. In exploring Samoa, my wife and I made our way down to a jetty at Humboldt Bay. The wind was howling, and made for some very cool wave effects. Here's the black and white of it.

A little more Seaside Beach: sand etched by ebbing tide into natural beauty, albeit briefly.

Got a chance to escape the heat and stay at Fort Bragg for a few days. Weather was beautiful!

Bell Rd, getting stormy.

The Camp Fire put me in a funk. A kind of Photographer's block. I think I'm over it. I decided to just throw the camera in my car and drive around Bell Rd yesterday. I'll post a couple of pix.

These businesses were destroyed by the Camp Fire in Paradise. In some cases just a sign remains.

Mamma Celeste's Gastropub and Pizzeria, on the Skyway in Paradise

The Camp Fire managed to singe the rear ends of an entire row of used cars on the Skyway. Believe it or not, there's a symbolic beauty in this destruction.
