Champ is one of our rescues from California Paws. He had to undergo amputation of an injured leg, and who knows the trauma in his young life. Months later, with good care and much love from our volunteer Sandra, who says she is a "foster fail"...Champ is one of the happiest, kindest souls, full of affection and the promise of a beautiful life. His attitude humbled me. Dogs are our teachers.

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT. Yesterday it was posted that Charlotte was abandoned by her owners. Charlotte is in fact Sheila, a 9 year old Australian Shepherd. ... Her owner developed Altzheimers and had to move to a facility. His daughter, boarded Sheila with us as Sheila was a client, while she attempted to find Sheila a home. The daughter lives out of state. Being unsuccessful in finding a home she asked us to take Sheila and find her a home. We agreed. Sheila is an amazing dog. House trained, crate trained, knows her basic commands. She is up for adoption. We apologize for the initial mistake. UPDATE....SHEILA HAS FOUND HER FUREVER HOME!@!!!
