I remember some very selfish thoughts of me getting frustraded with her that she wasn't prospecting enough. What an idiot. Last year she did very well in her business. Way better than mine. That was humbling too as I was like "what the heck lord" why are you closing doors on me. But I'm glad to experience that to understand we are one. I had to help put more fuel in her momemtum and help her. Our separate businesses & ministrys are not separate but one. AFG Living Inc is 1 company that multiple streams feed into. Absolutely nothing wrong with having a nice car & things. I would like to get a Tesla. In the mean time I just don't have a desire for luxury things. I like being able to fund missionaries and church plants. For the most part you don't really see the eternal fruit in your giving of money & time. I had my little mattress in corner of living room.I was only paying 300 bucks a month in rent making over 5 figs a month passivley. It allowed me to be a big long term funder for my brother George while he was doing Gods work out in philipines. Lord. For many years I would post stuff like this pic below. Quotes that got me all motivated but not transformed. My ears would tickle when I heard pastors say stuff like "God gave you a great vision. Walk in your your purpose"... "God has big plans for your life" I would love these 2 famous verses below which I would take out context Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I Know The Plans I Have For You' Declares the Lord, 'Plans to Prosper You and Not to Harm You, Plans to Give You Hope and a Future. Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." As I've grown in understanding of scripture man I definitely saw how for many years I would make it about me. My thinking was "what could I get out of the word versus how can I conform to it. To be more of Jesus image versus me." The one I fought the most was the command Jesus said before he assended to heaven when he said in Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. I must admit being crazy ambitious I do get caught up in building my own kingdom versus his. I make it about myself versus the cross. I forget that our purpose as believers is to make disciples. That the mission is the great commission. Lord help me to keep my focus on you. Its not easy and I need you to constanly remind me thats its about your kingdom.
