Our incoming Co-President, Colleen Mahoney, shared her ideas for the coming year at PWC. Thank you for taking this post, Colleen. We look forward to what you have to offer. Your mother would be so proud.

Fun evening last night...annual installation of PWC Board. Tina Hittenberger did the installation beautifully. If you'd like to watch/hear the installation, it will be up on our website soon. Meanwhile here is a screen shot of attendees, along with our Co-President, Sue Bunker and our Mistress of Ceremonies, Tina Hittenberger.

This is so exciting! Our own Gail Sickler is featured in today’s Argus Courier with a fabulous picture of her and all about her book just out, 94952 Street Art. How clever of her to even come up with the idea of a book of Petaluma’s graffiti. Big kudos and hugs to you, Gail. We are so proud. Can’t wait to get my book personally autographed by the author.

If you haven't heard already, our Past President Barbara Crandall passed away recently. She had spent Easter with her son in Oakley and showed no sign of sickness. Sue Bunker had included this sad news in her 4-21-21 newsletter to the membership.

Last evening we were treated to a most wonderful and inspiring Zoom presentation by our own Susan Coolidge and Cheryl Feuerborn, floral arrangers extraordinaire. Thank you to both of them for such a wonderful evening. Thank you too to LynAnn King for all she did to make the Clubhouse look festive and with our new exciting lights.

The Petaluma Garden Club and the Petaluma Woman’s Club are co-creating a special exhibit honoring the many industrious women who came before us and did so much to make our Petaluma the wonderful town we know today. This special Exhibit is called Finding Our Roots and will take place at the Petaluma Historical Museum in March 2021, which will also be our Garden Club’s 80th Anniversary and the Petaluma Woman's Club's 125th Anniversary! What a wonderful coincidence! Many of YO...U are actually a part of this women’s history of Petaluma. Many of these women could be from your family or childhood friends or maybe you yourself! This Finding Our Roots Exhibit could be a gift to the City of Petaluma and a fabulous way to honor women who came before us. Do you have photographs, articles, memorabilia from the Garden Club’s past? Would you enjoy reminiscing your years in the Petaluma Garden Club or in the Petaluma Woman’s Club, as you sift through the photograph albums, etc. with your friends? Would you like to give oral history interviews to include in the exhibit? Or would you would like to be interviewed yourself? The task would be to put post-it notes on any Garden Club Record Books, newspaper clippings, stories, etc. that you think would be of interest for the Exhibit. These we would scan for the Exhibit. We would ask you to label the people in the photographs and perhaps reminisce about that moment in time. You will see and remember in the photographs some of your dear friends who are now gone. Of course, all photographs, etc. will be returned to their owners. Please let me know if you would like to help in any way!

The Speakers Series the other evening with Cowgirl Creamery founders was fantastic! I, for one, was just thrilled to simply "meet" them. I hung on to every word. They are celebritites in my book. Cowgirl Creamery is cheese not to be beat. If you missed it, we have a video of the evening on our website. Enjoy, Ladies. A big shout out of thanks to Colleen Mahoney and anyone else who oranized this event. Sensational!
