Hello Patients, Friends and Colleagues, After 30 years of developing relationships, friendships and in many cases, treating three generations of your families, I am announcing my retirement in July of this year. I can’t tell you the amount of mixed emotions I have excitement, anxiety, trepidation and joy to name a few. I have been tremendously blessed in my career. I was able to work with my Dad for 13 years before he retired. He was a great role model and mentor... and I built a great bond with him. He started his practice in Novato in 1968 and I have done my best to continue his legacy. I have been surrounded by amazing staff members who have shared my values and always provided the highest standard of dentistry as a team. They are true professionals and I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. I was fortunate to have met Dr. Eric Tyler in 2004 and after 15 years we have established a great relationship, both personally and professionally. Eric and I have the same dental philosophy; Treat everyone like you would treat your own family. That philosophy is one that both Eric & John will continue in the years to come. I have been looking for my successor for quite a while and was lucky to find Dr. John Yun. John graduated from Eric's and my alma mater, University of the Pacific, and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. John has the same work ethic and philosophy as Eric and I do. He has the heart, mind and talent to do great dentistry. He has been working with us for almost 2 years now and many of you already know him. He and his wife Jacqui have planted their roots in Novato and look forward to being part of this community. I plan on staying involved in dentistry doing mission trips, volunteering, working with full care facilities and working with Hospice. My wife, Chris, and I are looking forward to new adventures and checking a few things off of our bucket list. I will remain in the area and plan to be available to finish up any ongoing treatment and help any one of you dentally or otherwise. You’ll be in good hands and as always, please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks to all for such an amazing ride and hope to see you around town or doing something fun. Hello from Drs. Perry & Tyler Family Dental Care, Wishing everyone a happy and healthy end of summer and beginning of the new school year. We would like to update you with the latest happenings here at the office. We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. John Yun to our practice. Dr. Yun graduated from the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry (alma mater of both Drs. Perry and Tyler) and has been working with us for a year now. He completed an Advanced Edu...cation in General Dentistry residency program in Tucson, AZ. Dr. Yun is an excellent clinician and shares the same core values as Drs. Perry and Tyler. As of September 1st, Dr. Perry will be transitioning to part time, mainly working Wednesdays and Thursdays. As Dr. Perry’s hours decrease, Dr. Yun will be here to treat our patients with the high level of care and commitment you have come to expect from Drs. Perry & Tyler. No matter what oral health needs you may encounter, you’re in great hands with Dr. Yun. We also welcome Taylor as our appointment coordinator to work with Vicki at the front desk. Taylor comes to us with 8 years of experience and is highly knowledgeable in dental insurance. Finally, our newest team member Diane, a registered dental assistant with 13 years of experience, has teamed up with Debbie & Melissa in the back office. On a final note, we want to update everyone on the latest technology we’ve incorporated into the office. Last year we upgraded our CEREC (single visit crowns) computer system. Our patients are wowed that we can now do most of our crowns in one office visit. All three of our doctors are also Invisalign certified (clear aligner orthodontic treatment) and happy to take care of any orthodontic needs you may have. Thanks for your time.
