Congratulations to the Fresno City College Police Academy graduating class of #162! Make us proud!
Tonight, the SCCCD Board of Trustees passed a resolution to condemn hate crimes targeting the AAPI community. Unfortunately, these crimes were happening prior t...o the pandemic and have only been exacerbated since then due to the inexcusable targeted rhetoric that has plagued our community. Over two million AAPI individuals nationwide are working on the frontlines of this COVID19 pandemic in healthcare, public safety, education, transportation, supermarkets, and other essential service industries. Thank you to the trustees for unanimously supporting this resolution to reconfirm our commitment to standing in solidarity with our AAPI community. See more

URGENTToday is the last day to fill out the census survey! Your response helps to direct the necessary federal funds to local communities for schools, roads, housing, and other public services. An accurate count is essential to our democracy and the growth of our communities.

We hit a huge milestone this week by awarding the $66M construction contract for the New West Fresno Campus! This award was issued under a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) and came in within budget. The PLA ensures local hire and is the first of its kind to prioritize the hiring of SCCCD graduates to work on the construction of this new campus! This is an incredible win for our students, the West Fresno neighborhoods, and our local economy.
Great update on our West Fresno campus project! Looking forward to approving this contract tomorrow night and breaking ground on this tremendous project!

As we wrap up Day 1 of our Fall 2020 semester, I wanted to take a moment to express gratitude and acknowledge the resiliency of our students, teachers, and staff for stepping up and accepting the challenge of transitioning to an online and distant learning/teaching environment. Thank you for ensuring our students continue to have educational opportunities to be successful. This will be a challenging ride but we’re in this together. If you find yourself falling behind, please do not hesitate to ask for help.
This virtual event aims to provide you with useful, need-to-know information to assist you in preparing for an online learning environment for your first semester. This event will be available for students August 3 7, 2020 to view and participate at your own pace.
Free COVID-19 testing and face masks available today at Lions Park. See flyers for additional information.
