The Communication Division of Seaver College believes the teaching of multiple perspectives is vital to equip students to communicate effectively across differences. We have joined with our students and colleagues to work against racism at Pepperdine. Many of us had the privilege of celebrating Dr. Roslyn M. Satchel at this year's National Communication Association Conference where she won the Women's Studies in Communication Division's Feminist Scholar Activist award for the work she does in the church, the community, the classroom, and her research. I hope everyone here will join us in honoring her accomplishment.
