There was a water line break at Cleator Park today. City had to shut the water off until it can be repaired. Restrooms are closed until further notice.

Legend Philip Thompson stopped by our league to visit today. He started coaching in our league (Loma Portal Little League) back in 1966 when he was stationed here for the Navy. July 11th of 2007 was designated Phil and Dottie Thompson Day for 40 years of volunteer service to Little League!

Hi Peninsula Little League Families - We hope everyone had a great Summer! We had a board meeting last night and have agreed to move forward with Fall Ball 2020. At this time, games are still not allowed at the county and state level. Practices of 12 or less are allowed. Our board agreed that getting the kids outside to practice a few times a week is better than not practicing at all. We have completed our safe re-opening plan and requested our permits from the city. Our safe...ty plan and permits should be approved early next week. - Fall Ball 2020 Registration will open early next week, another email will be sent out when it's open - If you paid a registration fee for Spring 2020, Fall Ball 2020 is free due to that season getting cut short (please reply if you haven't already so we can update your registration) - If you weren't registered with us in Spring 2020 but want to join us for Fall Ball 2020, the registration fee will be 50% of our regular Fall Ball fee as shown below. This fee is half of the normal charge because hats and jerseys are not provided and games may not be allowed for months or may not happen at all. T-Ball = $37.50 (normally $75) CAPS = $55.00 (normally $110) Minors = $70 (normally $140) Intermediate = $70 (normally $140) Juniors = $70 (normally $140) Again, at this time this registration fee gets your child on a team with two practices a week(one weekday and one weekend). The registration fee collected is used to cover the cost of our permits, field maintenance, insurance, and equipment. This fee is non-refundable. Hats and jerseys will NOT be provided this Fall. Players should plan to wear their hat and jersey from this past Spring, or any T-shirt and hat will do. If we are allowed to have games at some point, we will do that and they would be on Sundays from 9/13 thru 11/22. Thanks for everyone's patience as we work through this and try to provide a safe environment for our kids to play baseball! Peninsula Little League Board of Directors

Thank you to everyone that was able to come out and help at the park yesterday. We were able to get the fences down and get everything done in a few hours because of all the volunteers that showed up to help! Also, thank you to everyone that came out to buy Spirit Wear and make donations to our league. It's greatly appreciated!

Hi Peninsula Little League Families - We hope all of you are safe and healthy. Our board of directors consists of about 30 volunteers that paid registration fees for their kids to play baseball just like everyone else in the league. We had a lengthy meeting last night to discuss our league finances to determine the best options regarding this season and partial/credits. Little League is built on community and working together with the families in our community. We wanted to p...Continue reading

Hi Peninsula Little League Families - We hope all of you are safe and healthy. We had to make the difficult decision to officially cancel our Spring season. We held out as long as we could to determine if games will be allowed anytime soon. Rumors are it will be mid-July or August sometime when games are allowed again. Our permits end 7/12 and we could not extend them so we had to make this decision. Our board is working hard to review our finances to determine what money was...Continue reading

Hi Peninsula Little League Families - We hope all of you are safe and healthy. We have continued to have bi-weekly district meetings and weekly league board meetings. Local rules now allow practices of 12 kids per group, however we are still waiting on a decision regarding when games can begin. We are waiting until tomorrow Monday 6/15 at 5pm to make a final decision on the season. Our permits end 7/12 and we would need to have a week of practice and at least three weeks of g...ames to make it worth our time and effort to restart. Note: If the season is cancelled, our board will need to review our financial status. A decision regarding partial credits for this season will not be voted on until this Thursday's board meeting. Any information regarding the partial credit will be sent out this Friday 6/19. If you're moving away or your child isn't playing baseball anymore, we will provide details regarding those situations in that email as well. Reminder: We are a non-profit organization. All of the board members are volunteers and paid our registration fees just like you. Most of the registration fee is spent by opening day on expenses required to run the season(permits, uniforms, baseballs, equipment, first aid kits, field maintenance, etc.). Most of our income comes from the snack shack which has not been able to operate. Please be patient and considerate when sending emails regarding your questions. We are working hard behind to scenes on all these issues. Thank you for your understanding during this challenging time. Another update will be sent out via league email and on here tomorrow evening. Thanks, Peninsula Little League Board of Directors
