Our final Senior Spotlight is on our chorister Tori. Tori has been singing with the PGC for 8 years, starting out as a Brava singer. Although she says that her favorite PGC piece is "The New Colossus" by Kevin Memley, Tori never met a song she didn't love. The first rehearsal of the season was like Christmas morning for Tori as she opened up all of the pieces found in those new folders. Tori brought her sunny disposition, positive attitude and can-do spirit to rehearsal each week. Tori's future plans involve studying environmental science at Reed College and hopefully a lifetime full of opening new choir folders.

Our next Senior Spotlight is on Michaela. Michaela started with PGC as a Repertoire singer. She took a break from PGC and then returned in Concerta, singing with the choir for 8 years in all. Her favorite PGC song is "The New Colossus" by Kevin Memley. Michaela describes her experience with PGC: "Singing with the PGC has been one of the best experiences. Over the years, I have really come to love the bonding that comes with retreat and tour. Even though we only meet once a w...eek, I have made some of my closest friends here". Michaela's future plans involve studying Business Administration, (and continuing to sing in her university choir) either at St. Mary's College in Moraga or Seattle University in Washington. Michaela was one of our musicianship interns, working with our younger singers each week. Last spring, In recognition of her service to PGC, Michaela was the very first recipient of the Martha Phillips Service Award. See more
