Thank you to EVERYONE who supported the Thanksgiving Community Drive-Thru Food Drive at PLC on October 31! It was a beautiful day and so much fun. In partnership with 4 Community Care, 21 volunteers worked with great heart and effort to unload cars and sort food on Halloween, some even in costume! Included were a few students representing the MCHS Fight Against Hunger Club. The support was tremendous, with food donations arriving in 43 different vehicles and a few more that came before and after the event. Thank you to the PUSD Design 39 School for donating food that filled 3 vehicles for families in need! With all of the food donated, plus generous monies given through grocery gift cards and financial contributions, we will be able to share this bountiful harvest with many local families in the weeks ahead.

This just in from missionary Nathan Brown of Cultivate Honduras: A major storm in Honduras has caused flooding in San Pedro Sula. So far there are eight bridges out, with many roads and homes washed away. Over 350 families have been evacuated by the bomberos, military and police. There are people missing in the north. Please pray for all those affected by this devastation currently happening in Honduras.

A simple yet powerful reminder for today: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. May His everlasting presence bring you peace!

In John 17, Jesus prayed that his disciples would be one. This prayer gives us a United Hope, as the church has the opportunity to bring unity to our world in divided times. Be encouraged this week by this Story of Hope.

On this overcast Friday, we'll let "Woody" Polzin share the news that Sunday night's Rite of Confirmation service has been postponed to Sunday, November 1 due to the rain forecast. It looks like Woody is going to spend some time this weekend in (or maybe on) the Catechism. Good boy, Woody!
