It is with much love, respect, and gratitude that we would like to share the news of Dr. Gutrecht's well earned retirement as of the end of this month. After over 40 years of practice caring for generations of families she will be greatly missed by everyone at PAM and surely all her patients.

Remember now more than ever it is important to stay in contact with your child's pediatrician and up to date on vaccines and well child check ups. We are open and taking all precautions to make sure your visit to the office is safe as well as offering telehealth visits when appropriate.

We are now scheduling well child checks for all children who are due for them. They still will be done in a separate suite from any sick children and everyone entering the office (both staff and patients) is wearing masks and screened for fever and respiratory symptoms at the entrance. If you have any questions or concerns about scheduling a well check please call us!

Many of you know Barbara who has worked at the front desk at PAM for many years (or you have at least spoken to her on the phone!). She has been sheltering at home for over a month so our staff surprised her with a pizza party on her yard this weekend (still with appropriate social distancing of course)! We miss you Barbara!

Dr. Basu and all the doctors at PAM want to remind parents that in these uncertain times your children are depending on you to make sure they get the care they need. If your child is ill, hurt, due for a vaccination, experiencing a mental health issue, or having a flare up of a chronic medical condition, please call us just as you would have before COVID-19. We can help advise you if a telehealth or in person visit is needed with us or a specialist or even the emergency room.

It is still very important for children to come in for their vaccines at this time to prevent an outbreak of a vaccine preventable illness. We encourage parents of kids who are due for vaccines to come in for their well check ups (generally kids under 2 years old and 4 and 11 year olds). Well children will not be seen in the same suite as any sick children here at PAM; if you have any questions or concerns please call us!
