Effective January 1, 2020, California employer of 15 or more employees must provide up to 30 days of unpaid leave per year to an employee donating an organ following the 30 business days of paid leave for organ donation already required by the law.

Effective July 1, 2020, California's maximum wage replacement benefits under the PFL administered by the EDD will be increase from 6 weeks to 8 weeks of benefits.
