Dear Patients, In light of the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and the recommendation of Los Angeles County, we have made the right decision to temporarily close our practice until further notice. We will be open only for emergency. We did not make this decision lightly, however our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, team, families and community. Taking a Look at Our COVID-19 Precautions Our dental team already follows strict sanitation procedures. However, we are ramping up our efforts (including frequent handwashing) even more to ensure a sterile environment for our patients. We understand that the dentistry world is not the same as it was before the pandemic started, and because of this, it is more important than ever to focus on quality care rather than profits. Luckily, that has always been the focus here at the ...dental office of Pearl Zadeh, DDS. We are currently open for emergency care only and we are limiting the number of patients we see per day. Our team uses all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and masks, when working with all patients. Disposable PPE are thrown away after each patient visit. We are also dedicated to properly disinfecting each room after each patient leaves and preparing it for the next patient. Along with these measures, we have adopted a procedural protocol that starts with taking each patient’s temperature when they arrive. We will also ensure that each patient washes their hands upon entering and exiting the operatory. Our staff will only be performing hand scaling to avoid possible contamination on ultrasonic and prophy-jet tools. As always, our entire team prioritizes the health and safety of our patients, staff members, and the Woodland Hills community. We will do everything possible to help minimize the spread of this dangerous disease. If your pain has lasted more than a few days, you should schedule an emergency appointment with your dentist right away. Prior to your visit, you should periodically rinse the site of your toothache with warm water and apply a cold compress to your cheek to manage pain and swelling.... Damaged Teeth If you’ve suffered from a chipped or broken tooth, rinse your mouth with warm water to make sure you remove any broken fragments that could be a choking hazard. Try to save and collect any pieces you can. If you’re bleeding, hold a piece of gauze to the injury for at least 10 minutes or until the bleeding stops. Once the bleeding has stopped, apply a cold compress to your cheek to reduce pain and make arrangements to visit us
