Peabody Stadium Project

Here’s a quick look at the progress on Peabody Stadium: the grandstand cast in place steps, interior framing and drywall continue to progress. The electrical feeders have been routed to the grandstands, and the fire sprinkler system and elevator scope is under way. Field sub drainage, base and structures are moving forward while site irrigation, landscaping, fencing and railing also continues.

Progress continues to be made on Peabody Stadium! Structural steel and vertical concrete are nearing completion, and precast bleachers have been set. Field sub-grade has been established, and sub drainage has begun. The stadium lights and scoreboard have been erected. Grandstands restrooms are being framed, and rough electrical, plumbing and mechanical are coming together. Site trees and shrubs are being planted as well.

While the rain has caused a delay to the stadium's opening, work continues to progress above ground with the grandstands, concrete walls, and press box towers taking shape. Below ground, work is being done on site drainage, landscape irrigation and electrical. We are also working on retaining wall construction, wall railing, and wall waterproofing.

In case you missed it, the latest update on Peabody Stadium. We've got some good news and bad news, board member Kate Ford said at Tuesday's meeting. I am quite disappointed in the delay, but I understand it is because of the rain. I know this community is watching the project closely. All the schools, and Santa Barbara High School, in particular, are really looking forward to this facility. The bottom line is that this stadium will get done and it will be beautiful, she said
