The Puente Program at Palomar College is currently recruiting for their 2021-2022 Puente cohort! The goals of Puente are to help students transfer, graduate from four-year colleges, and return to serve as mentors to their communities. The Puente Program includes: Learning community taught cohort style by English and Counseling Faculty Fall: ENG 100 with ENG 49 (English Composition) and COUN 110 (College Success) live Zoom classes Spring: ENG 202 (Critical Thinking/Composition...) and COUN 101 (Transfer Success) Classes focus on Latino/Chicano literature and content Students are provided mentors, trips to universities and conferences/events Build leadership skills and join a statewide network of Puente students, professionals, educators.
