What an amazing turnout tonight for the Santa Parade. Thank y’all for the support and helping to keep this tradition alive.

Placer County Fire Department, St78, Sheridan 06.01.2021

Alright y’all... we just got word, Santa will be coming to Sheridan this Saturday. Due to Covid we have to keep Santa healthy so this year will be a little different than past years. Santa will be doing a drive by style parade and will unfortunately not be able to stop and take photos along the way. The route will be as shown below and he will begin making his rounds at 6pm. Come out and say hi!

It’s that time of year again... While there may be a few changes from his visits in the past, it does appear that Santa will be making his way back to Sheridan with the FD this year on the 13th. Stay tuned for more details.

After many years of operation, the property owner adjacent to Placer County Fire Department's Volunteer Station 73 has requested the return of the property. We ...would like to thank the prior owner for facilitating the county's ownership of the property over the years. As talks continue about the possible return, we're preparing to redistribute fire equipment to neighboring stations to continue to serve the Fowler area. In 2010, Career Station 70 was moved from Oak Tree Lane in what is now-incorporated City of Lincoln to the current location on Wise Road. This station is a fully-staffed career PCFD station and provides advanced life support and professional fire/emergency services to a wide response area including Fowler, Thermalands, Sheridan and Paige. PCFD Station 70 is 3 miles from Fowler Volunteer Station 73. Due to the proximity of PCFD Station 70 and PCFD Station 182 in Ophir, which is 6 miles away, both staffed 24 hours a day, there will be no reduction in service delivery to the Fowler community or to the greater Rural Lincoln Area. Volunteer firefighters are very important to Placer County and will be reassigned to surrounding PCFD volunteer companies, including Company 182. As always, the Placer County Fire Department will continue to look to bring operational and fiscal efficiencies to our county. We are very proud of our career and volunteer firefighters and the services they provide to our residents!

Today we lost a great man and a good friend. Warren Bostick was more than a Fire Captain to so many of us. He was an inspiration, a mentor, a leader, and a walk...ing book of fire knowledge. He was the Volunteer Fire Captain at Station 75 on Nicolaus Rd for + 35 years! While his boots will never be filled, his memory lives on with each and every one of us that he has trained over the years. To the entire Bostick family, Warren will never be forgotten. Another example of doing the right thing at the wrong time. CAL FIRE encourages property owners to manage defensible space before 10 in the morning. Don't use m...etal blades or wires for cutting. Clear rocks and other debris that could cause a spark before you begin work. Don't mow during the heat of the afternoon. One spark can start a fire. #onelessspark See more
