Hello Lancers! My name is Dionne Shelton and I serve as the President of A.S. for the Academic year 2019-2020. As President one of my duties is to provide stude...nts with accurate and timely resources that PCC has to offer. As well as to create a safe space where the student voice is heard. Since the transition to remote instruction there has been a lot of information being put out by your professors, programs that you may be involved in and from the college itself. With information constantly changing it could be a bit confusing and overwhelming. So the Executive Board and myself have been working diligently on how we can effectively serve our students remotely. One of the events we came up with is a virtual "town hall", where we collaborate with different departments on campus to help ease the minds of students by offering smaller and digestible information. In a more personable setting where students can also share their experiences within the first month of the remote instruction. Our First Virtual Town will be partnered with Academic Counseling services. To provide students in depth information regarding Excused Withdrawals, Pass/No pass option, and what that all means for your academic future. We will also be discussing extracurricular activities and what that means for your club/organization during remote instruction. The date of this event is April 30, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm Via Zoom teleconference. Please use this link: https://cccconfer.zoom.us/j/97729782683 to join our Virtual Town Hall this Thursday. If you have questions regarding this town hall, please email [email protected] Thank you ! have a great day !! See more

'Thrilling science fiction movies often establish empathy by building a world that still feels recognizable and draws the audience into saying, I get that or I can see that being possible.'
