They are Mixed Media including gold and... copper leaf, Japanese papers, oil paint and resin , 8 x 8 on gessoed board. They have a resin coating so the surface is shiny. Enso is a type of zen meditation I learned while living in Japan. I use whenever I begin a piece of artwork to clear my mind and center myself.

I can’t believe it was 2 weeks ago tonight that the Grand Opening was held at Gallery 104. (Yes- it was 17 degrees back in NYC!) Many thanks to those who came to the show- @Janet Traynor, @Alice Meek, @Marilyn Hauser and @Justin Wiley! Through the Window , oil on canvas, 24 x 24.

Collaboration in its truest form! Mary Brooks from PMG Framing and I worked nonstop to complete this bench commissioned by the Barclay Center for non other than SIR ELTON JOHN!

Thrilled to be part of the Textureexhibition at Gallery 104 NYC. Lifeline is a 12 x 12 oil painting with a story of its own... I am 14 years old on the beach at the Jersey Shore. The day is perfect- hot and a little overcast. The lifeguard blows his whistle to signal we are allowed to go into the water. My sisters and I run in together, splashing each other, laughing, staying close to the shoreline. I step back and suddenly there is no ground below me- no sand, there i...s nothing. The undercurrent is strong, it is pulling me out and over to the next beach. I am screaming for someone to help me as I am fighting the waves that tumble me over and over. I keep going down under the surface taking in big gulps of salty water. I am fighting for my life. Fighting as hard as I can until eventually I become calm, almost peaceful. There is a lot of white light. What is happening to me? At that very moment I see before me the lifeline- it is shiny and it is beautiful. I grab it and cling to it with all the strength I have left. I am pulled back to the shoreline. The lifeline appeared at the very moment I needed it most. Gallery104 is located at 373 Broadway #512, New York, New York10013.
