Super heroes, princesses, astronauts, firefighters, unicorns, and dinosaurs magically appeared at our school today. Our Halloween party was a big success. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

What a fun week! We celebrated the preschool’s 40th anniversary, est. 1980, with pizza lunches for the children and coffee drinks for the parents and staff. Children brought flowers, art work, and thoughtful notes which made it memorable for Ms. Patti. Thank you, Surf City, for your continued support!

We’ve had loads of fun making interesting discoveries about the ocean and sea life this week. Hands-on experiences that involved art, science, sensory, and fine motor activities encouraged our students to dive into learning. Listening to books about the beach and sea creatures sparked lively conversations. This next generation is now committed to protecting our oceans!

Everyone enjoyed out science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) week. Our staff encouraged our students to observe, investigate, describe, experiment and problem solve. You can tell from the photos that we have several future mathematicians and scientists at school!

It’s very exciting when a former student returns to school to read to our children! Many thanks to 8-year-old Dillon who read Harold and the Purple Crayon. He is ready to enter the 3rd grade and is obviously an outstanding student. Dillon is a voracious reader himself as well as quite an athlete! It’s rewarding to see what our students can achieve and we are so proud of him. Thank you, Dillon, for encouraging our students to become good readers!

We loved marching in several playground parades to celebrate Independence Day. We attempted to socially distance as much as possible and it was still fun, Photo credits go to Ms. Darcy. We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July!!

It sure feels like summer at Patti's Preschool! Our teachers have planned many engaging activities in the classroom and on the playground. The best part is making new friends!

Every day is fun at Patti’s Preschool! The teachers set up a variety of learning centers in the classrooms to keep our students engaged. On the playground, everyone likes blowing bubbles, water play, digging in the sandbox, and walking across the balance beam. A special pizza lunch provided by the thoughtful Bornstein family was a nice treat for our youngest class and all the teachers. Looks like summer is going to be a blast!

We welcomed some new classmates and are happy to see old friends! Thank you, Ms. Darcy, for taking the photos. We will continue to post more pics throughout the summer.

Hooray! Patti’s Preschool reopened today and our students were overjoyed to be back. Table activities in the classroom and bubble blowing on the playground kept everyone busy. The best part was seeing all our old friends!

Thank you to everyone who came to our "social distancing" parade on Thursday! It made us feel good to see all the familiar faces we've missed so much. We look forward to reopening and really appreciate your support!

Work Together Wednesday was all about cooperation and teamwork! Patti's Preschool is currently closed in order to support the community effort in fighting COVID-19. We have decided that the right thing to do is keep our dedicated staff on full payroll. As a small business, we have started a GoFundMe campaign to support that effort. Please consider us - we are in this together!

We went on a Habitat Hike with Mark from the Environmental Nature Center today! We had to fill our backpacks with water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a healthy snack, and binoculars before we started our hike. Finding a salamander, blue desert beetle, a rosy boa, and a curious bunny along the way made our journey delightful. And we learned to be quiet on our hikes so we don’t scare the animals!
