Gin time! Gin in its simplest terms is a clear alcoholic spirit that is flavored with juniper. The method of extracting the juniper flavor varies between distillers, as there are several ways it can be done. Our method involves the use of a gin basket. After carefully measuring and filling bags with our gin botanicals, our head distiller Adam loads them into the gin basket on our hybrid still. We then distill our neutral grain spirit (the same spirit used to make our vodka), and as the vapor passes through the gin basket it captures the essence of the botanicals before it is condensed down into liquid form. #gin #craftspirits #craftdistillery #distilling #visityolo #wintersca #discoverwinters

We can tell you it didn’t take long into that reflection for us to decide we needed a drink The French 75 is the perfect cocktail to ring in the New Year (and forget the previous one), made with gin, lemon, sugar and your favorite champagne . Ingredients:... -1.5 oz Patio29 Yolo County Craft Gin -1/2 oz Lemon Juice -1/2 oz Simple Syrup -Champagne (preferably dry) -lemon twist 1. Combine gin, lemon, syrup into a shaker with ice. Shake until thoroughly chilled. 2. Strain into a champagne flute. Top with champagne, and lightly stir. 3. Garnish with lemon twist, enjoy and always drink responsibly! Time to strip! Once a mash is done fermenting, it is then transferred into our 300-gallon pot still, where it will go through its first distillation, better known as the stripping run. The primary function of a stripping run is to strip the alcohol from the mash and leave behind the grain and yeast. This step significantly reduces distillation times on finishing runs, and ultimately results in a smoother, better tasting spirit.
